A delegation of ODIHR (OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights), led by Donald Bisson, Deputy Head of Observation Mission, visited the Agency for Electronic Media (AEM) today.

The ODIHR Election Observation Mission Final Report for the Presidential Elections in Montenegro was presented at the meeting. Deputy Head of Mission Donald Bisson underlined the importance of the recommendations provided in this Report.

He discussed the AEM’s role and activities during the election campaign in Montenegro with the AEM Director, Abaz Beli Džafić, and his associates.

Director Džafić presented the Report on Media Presentation during the Campaign for the Local Elections in May 2018, and the Report on Media Presentation during the Campaign for the Presidential Election of 15 April 2018.

The necessity of harmonizing all laws associated with the electoral process was another topic of the meeting.

The meeting is part of the planned visits to representatives of the Parliament, parliamentary parties, the State Electoral Commission, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, civil society and the AEM.
