On 27 June 2018, the Agency for Electronic Media and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro organized the second in a series of three workshops on the promotion of tolerance and the prevention of hate speech in the media in Budva.

The goal of the workshops is to establish common standards for the media and journalists on the one hand and the Agency for Electronic Media on the other, when assessing if there has been any hate speech in certain content or not.

Another goal is to develop the capacity of participants in the workshops to exercise the right to freedom of expression without abusing this right.

The purpose of this project is to ultimately lower the level of discriminatory views and prejudice, and to increase tolerance and raise awareness about the consequences of hate speech.
